Alex Jones, Anwar AlAwlaki & Me

I hoped you watched the video before reading this.  The video is of Alex Jones, a Texas talk-show host who, for the past 14 years has been warning Americans of great conspiracies of the rich and powerful to transform America into a kingdom and its citizens into serfs.  Many do not take Alex serious; however, I tend to believe the gist of his talks.  The details seem embellished.

I was watching this particular video and I noticed that Alex is uncharacteristically angry.  It seems that as time goes on, he is getting more and more angry.

Anwar Al-Awlaki, who after September 11, 2001 was a very nice, friendly, peaceful preacher of Islam.  He condemned the attacks.  He spoke of how peaceful Islam was.  But, as of late, people have commented that  Imam Al-Awlaki has gotten more and more angry as time goes on.

I have been a moderator of www.ummah.com.forum for the past eight years.  People have commented that I also have gotten more and more angry as time goes on.

I write this, not to put myself on the level of Alex, with his vast amounts of information and professional public speaking experience, nor on the level of the Imam, with his vast amount of Islamic knowledge, public-talking experience and understanding of Islam, but more along the lines of trying to explain what  I see as a common thread between, not only the three of us, but of many others,  past and present.  Evem the numerous articles trying to explain “the radicalization of Muslim youth” tend to overlook the obvious.

Martin Luther King also seemed to change his approach as time passed.  At one time, he unequivocally embraced non-violence and solely domestic issues.  Later, he expanded this understanding and his speeches became more fiery.

Malcolm X transformed in many ways as time passed.

Even the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم  also transformed the delivery of his message after time.  The Prophet Noah, after 950 years of inviting people to the Oneness of God, eventually wound up pray to God to curse his people.

What happened?

Circumstances, knowledge, and events change.  Alex has seen that this onslaught of tyranny has now included using the USA military as a gang of amoral thugs, which he believes will return to the USA and be used as a national police force to contain the American people.

Anwar Al-Awlaki has apparently seen the reality of the evil of the American Empire.  Where previously he sat and spoke from a position of security and comfort within Washington DC; and now after reading, studying and preaching about the life of the Prophets, the history of Islam and death and the Hereafter, it appears the reality of the evil of the USA and how it is slaughtering Muslims has become more clear to him.

As for myself, I actually witnessed the attacks at the WTC, and I remember telling anyone that would listen that there was no justification for the things that happened that day.  However, similar to both Awlaki and Jones, after getting over the emotional shock of it all and actually doing some investigation into how the USA has been conducting itself domestically and abroad, you begin to realize that there is an evil presence in the government of the USA.  This evil has existed since Christopher Columbus landed on the shores of the Western Hemisphere and it has continued unabated since.  My prior blogs contain many links and videos explaining this.

When one begins open their mind and look beyond the headlines and the propaganda being promoted,  things become clearer and the reality sharper.  You will get angry.

You start to see that the true evil is not the Taliban, or Al-Qaaida, but the duplicity in the American foreign policy.  If we are going to use innocent life as a measuring stick, the USA has killed far more innocent people than Al-Qaaida.  If we are going to use the USA’s definition of terrorism, the USA winds up being the chief proponent of terrorism, NOT Al-Qaaida.

Muslims have been victimized by the USA, directly and through proxies (ie support of tyrannical dictatorships).  They have been kidnapped (extraordinary rendition), tortured (enhanced interrogation techniques), their homes bombed (terrorists hide amongst civilians), their innocents killed (collateral damage), lands invaded and military bases installed and a host of International violations and even violations to its Constitution and laws.

Seeing these inconsistencies is enough to raise the ire in any thinking person.  Add to it the killing of hundreds of thousands of innocent people, then it becomes a portrait of pure evil. Lastly, to watch the propaganda machine portray the victimizer as the victim is sufficient to infuriate the mildest of temperaments.

Constantly, we hear of the youth being radicalized by this speaker or watching videos or the internet.  This is not true.  What caused the radicalization of old and young is observing evil being committed and a desire to correct this evil.  “as English philosopher Edmund Burke said, ‘The only thing necessary for the triumph [of evil] is for good men to do nothing.’

I write this to remind those who are not angry, Have you not seen the deaths caused by the USA’s invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq?  These people did nothing to the USA, but the USA bombs and kills with impunity.  Have you not read about the drone attacks against Muslims in Pakistan? Solely because someone is deemed a “militant” is now justification in the eyes of the USA of that person deserving of death.  Well, Martin Luther King and Malcolm X were also considered militants.

Are you angry?

Muslims are not allowed to stand up for themselves

We are living in extremely contentious times these days.  Islam and Muslims are under siege in virtually every facet of their lives and Islam.  Every muslim country has some type of turmoil.  Even in Muslims in kafir countries are being arrested and harrassed.  Not that I am complaining, just illustrating that this is par for the course.

Frederick Douglass once said

“Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will. Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them, and these will continue till they are resisted with either words or blows, or both. The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress.”

If there is no struggle, there is no progress.  America is false to the past, false to the present, and solemnly binds herself to be false to the future.

Patrick Henry, an American Revolution hero said,

Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace– but there is no peace. The war is actually begun! The next gale that sweeps from the north will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms! Our brethren are already in the field! Why stand we here idle? What is it that gentlemen wish? What would they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!

Allah says in Quran:

Be not weary and faint-hearted, crying for peace, when ye should be uppermost: for Allah is with you, and will never put you in loss for your (good) deeds.
(  سورة محمد  , Muhammad, Chapter #47, Verse #35)

According to some estimates, there have been 6.3 million muslims killed related to the USA invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq.  That works out to 700,000 per year or approximately 2,000 innocent men, women and children killed per day by the USA invasion into muslims lands, under the guise of “War on Terror” and “Weapons of Mass Destruction”.

All over the world, muslims are angry, upset, anxious, vengeful, that their muslim brothers and sister are publicly suffering and the muslim armies and governments are not only silent, but working hand-in-hand with the USA and its European Allies in this turkey shoot.

If you study the history of European settlement in the Western Hemisphere, you will see stark similarities what was happening then and what is happening now.  The people native to the western hemisphere (ie Indians) had their lands invaded; they were considered heathens and savages; their homes were destroyed, lands taken, and women and children slaughtered; and the Europeans were considered the “good guys”.

The USA justified such actions by referring to this “war” as “western expansion”.  If an entire Indian village was slaughtered, it was “their fault” for resisting the advances of the “white man”.  If the Indians retaliated, and fought the “white man”, it further infuriated the masses of people and the government was then justified in increasing its force upon these indigenous people and slaughtering them wholesale.

Today, the USA continues invading muslim lands, taking resources, killing women and children and oppressing civilizations.  It is all justified in its “War on Terror” and as a result the population of the USA and the world in general either support or turn a blind-eye to the atrocities being committed.

Alhamduliillah, there are muslims who are standing up to this naked agression, and may Allah grant them victory in every place.  However, this is not coming without a cost and has little support from the 1.5 billion muslims on the planet.

Why? Because Muslims are not allowed to stand up for themselves.

Israel is allowed to have American Jews leave Brooklyn, New York and travel to Israel to kill muslims and steal land.  This is all legal and supported by the USA and the UN.  However, if a Somalian in Minneapolis wants to go help in his homeland, he is arrested by the USA as a terrorist.  Even though he poses no danger whatsoever to the USA.

Global media coverage of the atrocities committed by the USA are similarly askew.  Muslims are kidnapped from foreign lands and sent to secret torture chambers to be interrogated by USA and foreign agencies, in an effort to thwart any defense raised by the muslims as their brothers and sisters are being laid to siege.

Everyday, in Occupied Palestine, muslim lands are pilfered.  Homes destroyed.  New Jewish settlements erected, even in spite of being deemed illegal by the world body.  But the world turns a blind eye.  The atrocities happening in Occupied Palestine are continuous and too numerous to enumerate, thus numbing any empathetic senses.

Even the internet, with its presumed open-ended “free speech” edict has also supported the suppression of any support for the plight of Muslims.  Muslims cannot support their fellow brothers who are standing up for the rights of Islam and Muslims to exist.  Facebook and other ISP’s are constantly on watch and under directions by governments and corporate entities to curtail any positive spin put on supporting the killings of Muslims.  Any such comments are looked at as supporting terrorism, and thus deemed illegal.  However, any support of the wanton slaughter of muslims is acceptable and people are continually allowed to “Support their Troops”.   Muslims are NOT allowed to support their troops

Fox New can daily post comments made the USA State Department as it assassinates muslims in foreign lands.  These comments are made with a positive spin as American “victories” in the “War on Terror”.  No mention is ever made if such assassinations are legal.  Little is mentioned about how many innocents are being killed.  Even worse,  people are being killed based upon “American intelligence” without proof or a trial, but merely because the USA says so.

However, without supporting terrorism, but to support the legitimate right of people to defend themselves against any agressors, if a muslim posts videos showing the Mujahideen advocating defense against American agression, these videos are removed, accounts disabled, and ISP’s give notice of pending closures.

All of this is to be expected, because the truth is that there is indeed a war going on.  It is the same war that was fought against Pharaoh, though he said that Moses was only here to create trouble, the truth is that Moses was there to fight against Pharaoh’s tyranny.

This narrative is only written to remind people of the reality of today’s situation.  And imagine if during the American venture to take Indian Land, there was a Facebook or an Internet, and you posted information supporting the numerous Great Chiefs, you would have probably been arrested for supporting the enemy, considered un-Patriotic, and worse.

But the truth is, you would have been right.
