Physical Benefits of Fasting During Ramadan (and Allah knows best)

Detoxification Stage 1 (Day 1 To Day 2)

On the first day of fasting, the blood sugar level drops. The heart slows and blood pressure is reduced. Glycogen is pulled from the muscle causing some weakness. The first wave of cleansing is usually the worst. Headaches, dizziness, nausea, bad breath, and a heavily coated tongue are signs of the first stage of cleansing. Hunger can be the most intense in this period.

Detoxification Stage 2 (Day 3 To Day 7)

Fats, composed of transformed fatty acids, are broken down to release glycerol from the gliceride molecules and are converted to glucose. The skin may become oily as rancid oils are purged from the body. People with problem-free skin may have a few days of pimples or even a boil. The body embraces the fast and the digestive system is able to take a much-needed rest, focusing all of its energies on cleansing and healing. White blood cell and immune system activity increases. You may feel pain in your lungs. The cleansing organs and the lungs are in the process of being repaired. The breath is still foul and the tongue coated. Within the intestine, the colon is being repaired and impacted feces on the intestinal wall start to loosen.

Detoxification Stage 3 (Day 8 to Day 15)

You will experience enhanced energy, clear-mindedness and feel better. On the downside, old injuries may become irritated and painful. This is a result of the body’s increased ability to heal during fasting. If you had broken your arm 10 years before, there is scar tissue around the break. At the time of the break, the body’s ability to heal was directly related to lifestyle. If you lived on a junk-food diet, the body’s natural healing ability was compromised. During fasting, the body’s healing process is at optimum efficiency. As the body scours for dead or damaged tissue, the lymphocytes enter the older, damaged tissue secreting substances to dissolve the damaged cells. These substances irritate the nerves in the surrounding region and cause a re occurrence of aches from previously injured areas that may have disappeared years earlier. The pain is good as the body is completing the healing process. The muscles may become tight and sore due to toxin irritation. The legs can be the worst affected, as toxins accumulate in the legs. Cankers are common in this stage due to the excessive bacteria in the mouth. Daily gargling with salt and water will prevent or heal cankers.

Detoxification Stage 4 (Day 16 to Day 30)

The body is completely adapted to the fasting process. There is more energy and clarity of mind. Cleansing periods can be short with many days of feeling good in between. There are days when the tongue is pink and the breath is fresh. The healing work of the organs is being completed. After the detoxification mechanisms have removed the causative agent or render it harmless, the body works at maximum capacity in tissue proliferation to replace damaged tissue. After day 20, the mind is affected. Heightened clarity and emotional balance are felt at this time. Memory and concentration improve.

Advertisements was shutdown today was shut down today.  Though when one clicks onto their website, it says it has been suspended, presumably, it is because their webhost is in England and the British press blasted the brothers there for supporting the mujahideen in Afghanistan and mocking the deaths of the UK soldiers.  Seemingly unpatriotic, I presume.

Most religious people will understand the meaning of an “anti-christ” coming, and the subsequent end of the world.  It has been written and foretold for centuries.  What leads up to this introduction of the commencement of the end of the world……..? It is man’s disbelief in God, awash in sins, no longer caring about the meaningful things in life, mocking religion, hedonism, heathenism, immorality, etc, things of this sort.  Most people would agree upon these precursors and the oncoming of armageddon.

However, when one actually reads up on the signs, one would think that people would see the signs, and hence, be wary of falling into behaviors that have been forewarned.  But alas, mankind is a contentious, short-sighted creature who focuses on the here&now and not on long term benefits and harms.

Today, we applaud freedoms, in spite of religious ideologies that warn against unbridled freedoms.   These types of freedoms lead to moral decay and societal destruction.  That brings us back again to man’s short-sightedness.

So how does all of this relate to the shutting down of IslamicAwakening?  Well, mankind is doomed, except for those who believe in God, do acts of righteousness, exhort each other in truth and exhort each other in patience.  Doomsday is brought about by man acting unrighteous.

The USA and UK have entered into foreign lands and have killed untold thousands of lives in Afghanistan, and over a million lives in Iraq……….THIS IS A CRIME. Evil from its very core.  The perpetuators of this evil are not just the government, but each soldier and citizen who supports such evil.  As many may remember reading from muslim apologists, “whosoever kills one soul, it is as if he has killed all of mankind”.  That quote does not just apply to the evil terrorist who blows up innocent people, but it belongs equally on the American or British soldier who kills innocent people, invade innocent lands, usurp governments and indigenous authorities, rape, burn, kill, imprison and torture innnocents.  This is just as evil, if not moreso, than any bombing a terrorist can do.

However, in the mindset of most Euromericans, what happens outside of their realm is not as important as the life of some media victim of rape, murder, mugging around the corner in their own town.  A clear disconnect occurs between the patriots of America and England, as they “support our troops”.

This support includes ignoring the evil of their troops, of their governments and of their policies, and when one lives in a fantasy, any reality that goes against that fantasy is met with hateful vengeance.

Muslims are a brotherhood, British citizens are a brotherhood.  One based upon religious fellowship, the latter based upon borders, imaginary, temporary, illusionary.

British and American citizens would rather muslims ignore the plight of their fellow brothers suffering at the hands of the British soldier and sign on to the mindset and ideologies of the State.  This is prohibited in Islam. Tribalism, nationalism, are all forbidden.  Islamic brotherhood is based upon faith, belief in One God, not based upon location, color, wealth, gender, etc.

To ask a muslim to abrogate his brotherly ties to other muslims is treasonous.  Worse than any perceived treason that the states of the UK or USA can bring upon any muslim, because the treason by abandoning your brother will have to be answered to our Lord upon our death and Day of  Judgment.

Any treason charges brought by the states of either the UK, or USA may be met with torture, imprisonment, even capital punishment, but nothing compared to the trial and punishment meted out by our Lord.  So each muslim must make that decision for himself.

May Allah grant the muslims success in every arena.

In the Name of Allāh, the Most Merciful, the Ever Merciful

One of the brothers, may Allāh reward him, compiled together whatever he could find on the internet of news, analysis, and the discussions of the brothers in the forums and the news websites. He arranged them, removed that which was repeated or inappropriate and placed it in a file to give to the Shaykh, hafidhahullah, for him to look over… the colloquial words have been replaced with Arabic to make understanding easier.

A brother: Shaykh, we want you to write something about this topic. Many of the youth are asking about your position towards Hamas after these events.

Shaykh: And what should I write?

Brother: Write about the reality of Hamas, what is going on in the field, and what opinion the Muslim should have about these events.

Another brother: Shaykh, allow us to record this meeting and relay it on the net after transcribing it.

Shaykh: That’s fine, as long as you make sure the transcription is accurate.

Brother: In sha Allah.

One of the brothers: Shaykh, have you read the report he gave you…?

Shaykh: Yes.

Brother: What is your opinion about it?

Shaykh: Most of the discussions are from those unknown to me.

Brother: What is your view of the brothers in Masjid ibn Taymiyyah in Rafah.

Shaykh: In what respect?

Brother: In respect to their da’wah.

Shaykh: They took us by surprise when they declared this da’wah in this manner, just as they took everyone by surprise. The matter came to pass very quickly.

Brother: Shaykh, we know that news comes to you from Gaza.

Shaykh: The one who used to send us news has been cut off (from us) for some time. However, do you know them?

Brother: Yes.

Shaykh: You know them personally or via the internet?

Brother: Via the internet.

Shaykh: From reports of trustworthy, upright people?

Brother: From reports of the brothers with their usual usernames.

Another brother: Some brothers have compared this to the Red Masjid (Lal Masjid).

Shaykh: It is necessary to know the sources (unclear), the da’wahs, and the truthfulness of the individuals before judging. You don’t know the brothers in Masjid ibn Taymiyyah and those whom you know and trust have not yet spoken about them. The Red Masjid had scholars who were known to the public, and to the elect, and to the leaders of the mujahidin.

One of the brothers: You know some of them, Shaykh.

Shaykh: I am not speaking about myself. You have made a judgment not based on knowledge. You should investigate and ask the reliable scholars, and then pass judgment.

Brother: After the Red Masjid (incident), the commanders of Jihad spoke on the matter.

Shaykh: When the leaders speak about a matter, they are trustworthy, reliable scholars. The matter here is different.

One of the brothers: We want to know your opinion, Shaykh, about the topic.

Shaykh: I don’t have all the facts, but I think that the brothers were hasty in this matters. The limited information I have indicates that Haniyya doesn’t have the wisdom of Ahmad Yasin or al-Rantisi. If one of them were alive, he would not have agreed with what Hamas did.

Brother: Meaning, you have doubts about the brothers in the masjid.

Shaykh (with a changed expression): Do not put words in my mouth.

Brother: They killed them in cold blood.

Shaykh: You were witness to this?

Brother: No.

Shaykh: Subhanallah!

Brother: What should have been done, Shaykh?

Shaykh: Some wise people should have intermediated between the two groups to avert this calamity from the start. I don’t know whatJama’at al-Jihad and the scholars of Gaza are doing about these events? Why have they been silent?

Brother: Don’t you think that Hamas are in the wrong?

Shaykh: Even from a strictly political perspective, they have erred. These youth, people know their (battlefield) prowess. If they had tried to reach an understanding, to win them over, or at least, left them alone, they would have been a thorn in the throats of the Jews. They would have been a pressure point and a bargaining chip. This is from a strictly political perspective. It would have been enough for them to send them some scholars and to negotiate with them. As for the Sha’ri perspective, there is no doubt this killing is a grave and serious error.

Brother: Shaykh, do you know the brothers in the masjid? We want a satisfactory answer.

Shaykh: The answer may come to you from someone better and more knowledgeable than myself.

Brother: The brothers in the forums have made takfir of Hasan and al-Qassam (Brigades) and all those who killed these brothers.

Shaykh: Hamas is going from bad to worse in terms of its policies towards the mujahidin. We ask Allah guidance for us and them. The statements of some of their spokespersons and their belittling the mujahidin is not at all from wisdom and will call cause them great harm.

Brother: Shaykh, don’t you think the brothers are justified in making takfir of Hamas?

Shaykh: I have told you many times that takfir is not this easy, and this is specific takfir, not in general terms. The brothers shouldn’t delve into this matter without knowledge and information, because the judgment may come back on the one who issued it as in thehadith. Some brothers are very bold in this sort of thing, and perhaps cowardice is better for a person’s religion here than boldness.

Brother: We want to take a decisive position towards the incidents.

Shaykh: Await your leaders and see what they say.

Brother: How long should we wait, Shaykh?

Shaykh: Until the bayan comes from the leaders. They know the situation better and are more knowledgeable of what has to be done.

Brother: Why should we wait for a bayan when the matter is clear like the sun!

Shaykh: If the matter is clear to you like the sun, then don’t wait for anyone. As for those who are like me, they should wait.

Brother: Should we not get mad? Shaykh, the blood is boiling!

Shaykh: There is no doubt the Muslim gets angry at the killing of his Muslim brother. I am not saying, don’t get mad. I am saying, be patient.

Brother: What should we say to those making takfir of Hamas and al-Qassam?

Shaykh: Don’t say anything, because they won’t hear right now while the blood is boiling as our brother said…

Brother: Meaning, we should be silent?

Shaykh: Don’t be silent. Make du’a to Allah to protect the blood of the Muslims and to take the oppressors by their hands, and to guide the sinful amongst the Muslim, and to facilitate for this Ummah a matter of right guidance such that the people of obedience are honoured and the people of disobedience are humbled.

Brother: Some are calling that vengeance be taken for the blood of the brothers.

Shaykh: Take vengeance from who?!

Brother: From Hamas and al-Qassam.

Shaykh: If these people become busy with one another, who will guard the borders of Gaza and face the Jews?

Brother: Meaning, they should remain silent about this (shed) blood?

Shaykh: If the brothers were truthful in their claim, then they are martyrs.

Brother: Shaykh, in all bluntness, tell us you view now of Hamas. We want a satisfactory answer.

Shaykh: Hamas is drowning in the swamp of the governments: the Egyptian, the Saudi, and the Iranian governments. These are amongst the most evil governments in the Islamic world today. The leadership of Hamas is young, they haven’t realized the extent of their conniving and evil. I don’t know how they haven’t realized this yet, even after the actions of the Egyptian government during the siege of Gaza, their closing the crossings, and the statements of their representatives!? If the government of Hamas hasn’t understood this matter, then where is the understanding and the insight of the people of Gaza. The matter is not even in need of clarification.

Brother: We would like to explain further, Shaykh.

Shaykh: These governments have got hold of Hamas by the arm that they can twist. They are the ones providing material (financial) backing to Hamas. Most of what the people of Gaza eat, drink, and spend comes from them. Life without them will be extremely difficult for the residents of Gaza, and living in their shadow is even more difficult. We ask Allah to guard the Muslims in Palestine from the plotting and planning of these sort.

Brother: Shaykh, you still haven’t told us your position on Hamas yet.

Shaykh: Hamas has many mistakes. Many of these mistakes are serious, particularly as of late. They need to rectify the matter before it’s too late. They need to not carry on in some of these matters, because Allah grants respite but He does not ignore affairs. Their negative attitude towards some of the people of Jihad is not in their benefit. This will have a negative impact on them in the short term before the long term. It is necessary that leaders of Hamas realize that the Egyptian intelligence are playing with them. They should not incline towards conformity and appeasement. These people are working to sow division between them and the mujahidin, and thereby to make people lose trust in Hamas. Then Hamas will go to the wind so that they can bring Abbas and Fatah to Gaza for the second time. This matter is clearer than clarity itself. It seems that Hamas does not realize the support of the masses that the mujahidin enjoy throughout the Islamic world. They think that they can get away with opposing them in this fashion and make various accusations against them. These accusations are becoming embarrassing, even to some of the leaders of the belligerent nations. Hamas needs to review many of its political policies if they want to remain.

Brother: If you could elaborate on this point further, Shaykh.

Shaykh: The real power of any nation lies in the masses. Most of the masses today are behind the people of Jihad in Afghanistan and Iraq because they rubbed America’s nose in the dirt. Most of the masses love Usama, hafidhahullah. This is a fact that only a stubborn or ignorant person would deny. Hamas has killed those who claim an affiliation with the mujahidin and who call for implementation of theShariah. This call is an extremely sensitive matter for many people. This will lead to Hamas losing the sympathy of the Muslim masses. In this way, the rulers will be able to rid themselves of Hamas because of their weak support amongst the people. There will be no need for the drama of pretending to assist them. When the (material) assistance and the popular support from the masses and from the elite comes to an end – and by the elite here we mean the mujahidin who have won over the Muslim public – Hamas will be left alone. It cannot stand alone for very long. Then, they will be forced to submit to the conditions of Fatah or the Jews, and the Rafida will abandon them because they’re a losing bet. We ask Allah that this not happen and that the Muslims return to rightly guided action.

Brother: There are those who say that the brothers in the masjid are a conspiracy from Abbas and Fatah.

Shaykh: These people should fear Allah with regards to what they say, for Allāh, subhanahu, tells us that He defends those who believe. Such a person only harms himself, and it is Allah who shall take vengeance.

Brother: Shouldn’t we respond to them?

Shaykh: How will you respond?

Brother: By clarifying the truth.

Shaykh: This is an important point you should pay careful attention to. In these types of events, the truth gets lost in all the uproar. Reason is lost in the cloud of anger. People don’t want to hear the opinion of someone who disagrees. This is from both sides. Everyone is charged up. You might see and hear talk that you have not heard before. In these types of circumstances, this happens even with the most intelligent of people. This happened in the time of the fitna between the Companions. The voice of falsehood and clamor drowned out the voice of truth until Ali and Talha and Zubayr fought one another, even though they were the wisest of people. However, the clamor came from those other than them, and all of these three are from those given glad tidings of Paradise! Therefore, the matter is greater than you perceive in these sorts of affairs. The enemies have penetrated amongst us and they kindle the fire offitna. Perhaps, when you publicize this discussion of mine, you will find criticism from both sides. Perhaps some of those who will criticize us today will be those who thought well of us yesterday.

Brother: I have read some bayans calling upon the mashayikh to not delve into the matter of calming things down or dialogue, and that there is no choice except to take vengeance against Hamas.

Shaykh: This sort of thing is said at the time of anger, and I don’t know how this can be said in Gaza? If they take vengeance and kill some leaders of Hamas, then the Qassamis do the same and kill them, in this way the hastiness of vengeance will perpetuate and not come to an end. None of this is to the benefit of the Muslims. If it was just a matter of killing one or two and then the matter would end, it would be simple, but the issue is bigger than that. Gaza is a small city, besieged by the Jews and the Egyptian government. How will it handle all this chaos?

Brother: You didn’t get angry, Shaykh?

Shaykh: Who doesn’t get angry in an incident lie this?

Brother: Ok, then why don’t you write about the topic?

Shaykh: Maybe because I am in a state of anger, and I know the people are in a state of anger. Maybe this meeting is sufficient.

Brother: Wallahi, we’re confused, Shaykh, we shouldn’t speak, we shouldn’t say anything, we shouldn’t do anything?

Shaykh: I didn’t say that. The Prophet (S) instructed us, “Whoever believes in Allāh and the Last Day, let him speak good or remain silent.” If you are going to say or do something that benefits Islam and the Muslim, then don’t hesitate. If it is other than that, then remaining silent is better for you and for those other than you.

Shaykh: What is your view of the events?

Brother: We are with the brothers in the masjid, and there is no sanctity for Hamas after today.

Shaykh: You’re all of this view?!

The brothers didn’t say anything.

Shaykh: In any case, we wait for the statement of the leaders. At that point, the view will be closer to the truth, because the leaders generally have additional knowledge about the various fronts that others do not… and I call on all the brothers, leaders and followers, to fear Allah and to put the interests of the Ummah before all other interests, and to avert fitna from the Ummah, and to safeguard the blood of the Muslim, and to deal with the issue with wisdom, and to not make the enemies reason to rejoice at our misfortune as they have already begun with their snide remarks on their satellite channels, their newspapers, and their websites. Even the filthy al-Fatah have spoken on the matter. This is not a matter of unity or division, it is the religion and the Ummah. If people kept this in view, many actions would have been different.

This is the end of the transcription. Afterwards, the Shaykh made du’a for a long time for the Muslims of Palestine in general and Gaza in particular. He advised the youth to use reason and to be patient. I should also inform you that shaykh was very upset, as if he had lost his own dear ones in the incident. It is as if I can see his tears as he tried to restrain them. And throughout the sitting, he kept saying, Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un
